In Pride and Prejudice, the main character is introduced by her father in the first chapter when her father states: "They don't have much to recommend them, they are all stupid and ignorant like the other girls; but Lizzy has something faster than her sisters (p.2). Elizabeth Bennet - also known as "Eliza" or "Lizzy" - is the second eldest daughter of the Bennet family. parents and four sisters near the town of Meryton in Hertfordshire. Her introduction by her father gives the reader the feeling that Elizabeth is not stupid and that she is different from the other girls. Having “quickness” means that Elizabeth has a quick mind and has the ability to do so. make quick decisions without difficulty. Her beauty, intelligence, and positive character appeal to the reader because she values love and is not impressed by wealth, high ranks, or titles. The only barrier that stands in the way of his perfect personality is his habit of making decisions. quick and hasty judgments that often lead to regret. Her character symbolizes the element of prejudice in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Elizabeth is an important character in the book as she completes the title of Austen's book. His character intrigues the book and makes the story captivating. Evidence of his importance is first revealed through his initial prejudice against Darcy, who is wealthy and extremely proud of himself. His tendency to make judgments based on first impression creates the intrigue of this book. Elizabeth's first impression of Darcy leads to many misunderstandings as his proud character does not attract her. Darcy was introduced to Eliza and the reader at a party at which he coldly states that Elizabeth is "tolerable but not beautiful enough" to attempt...... middle of paper...... d ." Elizabeth's character was important because the author made her used to write an interesting conflict, as well as an exciting ending to her story. Her character, throughout the book, was proof that she symbolizes the element of prejudice and that the book would not be compelling without her character,. the title of this book (Pride and Prejudice) would not suit the plot because the element of prejudice would be missing in the story Its character piques the reader's curiosity and he becomes impatient to know the outcome of the dilemma. Elizabeth's moral character, as well as the consequences of her prejudiced character which leads to the compelling conclusion of this story. book.
