    Marketing of UnitedDetermining the marketing strategy of a large airline, like United Airlines, is quite difficult and extremely complex. For what? Because each city, season, route and time of day will have minor to major differences in how the airline presents itself. The difficulty of marketing and advertising for an airline is greater than for other industries because each airline sells thousands of different products. On the surface, United sells flights, and that appears to encompass a single product. However, selling a flight from Denver to Tokyo on a Monday is extremely different from selling a flight from Cleveland to Cincinnati on a Saturday evening. The people flying this route, the cost, aircraft flow, services provided, and flight frequency/length all vary significantly from route to route, and marketing strategies will align with these differences.
