Essay / Beethoven and Bach - 893
Classical music can be best summed up by Mr. Dan Romano who said: “Music is the most difficult art form. It doesn't hang on the wall and just waits to be looked at and appreciated by passers-by. It's communication. It's hours and hours spent on a work of art that may, in reality, only last a few moments...but if it's done well and truly appreciated, it lasts forever in our hearts. That's art, speaking from your heart to the hearts of others. This is exactly what Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven did from a young age with their musical compositions. Both musical composers changed the world of music and captivated the hearts of many people. Their love of composition shared many similar traits, although their musical styles were very different. Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven both thrived in their classical music compositions; however, their genre of music differed significantly. Bach was a German composer of the Baroque era of Western music, estimated to have taken place between 1600 and 1750. It was during this time that he composed prolific music for church organ which included works such as the much-feared Mass in B minor. choral music and the St. Matthew Passion, as well as the composition of more than a thousand works in almost every musical genre except opera. On the other hand, Beethoven was a German composer who began to emerge in the classical era of Western music twenty years after Bach. This era took place throughout the 1750s and 1830s. The large quantity of arrangements, over two hundred works in many musical genres composed by Beethoven, was heavily influenced by his predecessors, the onset of deafness and the very personal expression of his intellectual depth. Such works include first and middle of paper......eethoven and Bach achieved a success that almost all musicians will never achieve. Classical music was best described by Mr. Dan Romano who clearly states that his art speaks from your heart to the hearts of others. Bach's Baroque period of Western music gave rise to some of the best-known and most recognized organ music, and it was Beethoven's deafness that became the symbol of a fundamental change in the way we let's listen to classical music. Beethoven was the most beloved and influential composer of his time. Their music had flaws and that’s what made it stunning, comfortable and easy to listen to. We now know that between the lives of Bach and Beethoven, we can understand that although their love for composition and classical music was the same in some aspects, they were ultimately exact opposites when it came to their genre, their instruments of music and their recognition..
