Article Review on “Inside the Bad Body” Introduction In the article “Inside the Bad Body” by Carrie Arnold's main topic of study is interoceptionability in humans. According to Carrie, interoception is simply the knowledge of a person's internal bodily functions (Arnold, 2012). In other words, it is an explanation of an individual's ability to understand the internal functions of their body and relate them to external images. Generally, this subject of study is very important because it helps individuals understand the reason why their body functions. For example, the study simply attempts to educate people about the importance of having high interoceptionability. Therefore, informing people that by knowing their inner self and their bodily functions, they are able to be healthy because they can recognize any form of danger to their body more quickly. Certainly, the researchers decided to investigate this study, so that it could help them understand the reasons why certain people suffer from anorexia nervosa, eating disorders, body dysmorphia and especially the reason why some Individuals do not accept their outward appearance like others.
