Adolf Hitler's Use of PropagandaAdolf Hitler took control of Germany before World War II in the 1930s. His anti-Semitic influence and pride for Germany incited him to commit many of the crimes that he and his Nazi Party had committed. Many people find it hard to believe that such terrible and heinous crimes could be committed for so long. One of the main tools of Hitler's takeover of Europe was propaganda. This propaganda was used to show Germans in a positive light and most non-Germans in a negative light. Many argue that propaganda could not brainwash an individual, but it has been shown that Hitler was very successful in gaining the support of the German people using propaganda, especially among German youth. Free will is one of the main arguments against Hitler's brainwashing. German youth. Hitler was a Christian, and as a Christian he “believed” that God had given him a mind and a will so that he could make decisions for himself and choose freely. Free will is one of the most important aspects of Christianity, as Philemon 1:14 states: "But I preferred to do nothing without your consent, so that your goodness might not be by compulsion, but by your own will.” Just as German youth could have chosen for themselves not to follow Hitler and support his irrational ideas. Another view on the question of why propaganda had nothing to do with Hitler's rise to power was that Germans, in history, had a natural connection to propaganda. tendency towards conservative politics.
