This essay will discuss the causes of language death and whether endangered languages ​​are worth saving. This essay recognizes that endangered languages ​​are worth saving and that many factors contribute to language death. First of all, the essay will explain what language death is and the meaning of what an endangered language is. Then discuss the death of language and the birth of language. Third, discuss the causes of language death. Finally, critically discuss whether endangered languages ​​are worth saving. The aim of this essay is to show that the death of language is much greater than the birth of language. What is the death of language? Campbell (1994:1961), cited in Janse, M and Tol, S (2003), describes language death as the loss of a language due to the gradual change of the dominant language. The death of language seems brutal and to say the death of language is to say that a person is dying (Crystal, D: 2000, 1). This is a prolonged change of state (Mufwene, SS: 2004, 204).
