    Fashion is proof of human evolution. The industry is recognizing the need for diversity more than ever and embracing its broader meaning, which until recently has largely referred to race. The skills I acquired while studying computer science for my bachelor's degree will allow me to follow the technological aspect of the course. I believe it is important to take initiatives when it comes to personal development. I am proud to be self-taught. This will help me adapt smoothly to university life, as independent study is more than teaching and lecturing at university. Completing the bronze level of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award gave me the confidence to approach challenges with confidence and move forward. I decided to take a gap year to focus on my personal growth and better prepare myself for the course and life after graduation.
