Technology used for educational purposes has only come into full force for a few years now. Many, many positive outcomes could occur in the years to come with technology in classrooms. This is a major advantage as smartphones today include instant means of communication and information. The three authors, John-Harmen Valk, Ahmed T. Rashid and Laurent Elder of "Using mobile phones to improve educational outcomes: an analysis of evidence from Asia" find that the use of technology in the classroom improves in reality test scores (Elder) . In the journal article, the authors include case studies in which they investigated the effectiveness of learning through technology and how it enabled them to do great things with their knowledge. It is important for people to realize this and learn that technology has changed the way people approach life. Yet ultimately it doesn't have a dramatic negative effect because of the benefit that technology has brought to today's society.
