    When we think of witchcraft, we usually think of an ugly, old, grotesque woman. Someone who perhaps brews potions with supernatural materials in a cauldron or someone who casts spells with a wand. The media shows us that these witches can talk to animals, especially cats and wolves. They also describe them as evildoers who consort with the Devil, steal children and kill others. Although it would be amazing to have such beings capable of creating such magical feats, many of these are false rumors created by the Catholic Church to promote Christianity and punish those who adhere to beliefs that do not do not correspond to the Church. The history of witchcraft, the implausible and impossible feats associated with witches, and modern practices of witchcraft reflect a lie that has caused an enormous tragedy, one that has destroyed thousands and thousands of lives around the world because of a stupid hoax. for centuries and centuries, dating back to the beginning of humanity, where it was considered a religious practice that instilled magical rights in the user (witchcraft). Prehistoric art is a good example, with inscriptions detailing the magical rites used to ensure the success of their hunt (Wiccan One's Universe). Witches were commonplace all over the world, with different stigmas and stereotypes attached to them by each respectful culture that contained them. Belief in magic predates Christianity, Judaism, and recorded history, and over time, magic became primarily associated with one group: witches (Erzulie). This could be due to the demise of many other ancient religions as well as the increasing popularity that witchcraft has gained by incorporating man...... middle of paper ...... and without fear.
