Essay / Advantages and Disadvantages of Robots - 707
Robots are one of the artificial intelligences that have made a breakthrough in all areas of life. As a result, many studies and research projects regarding robots have taken place over the past decade. Additionally, robots in society could be one of the essential machines, due to their multitasking system that could adapt to any type of performance. In general, the company could use these machines to fill the labor shortage in a short time and at a lower cost. Therefore, robots can have enormous positive effects on different areas of life, such as emergency situations, daily tasks and the manufacturing industry. In emergencies, robots could reduce the percentage of fatal damage that occurs in these cases. In fact, human lives are much more valuable than robots, in which companies could use robots to navigate through a dangerous situation in an attempt to save people. Additionally, dangerous situations such as firefighting or earthquakes require a lot of effort, precision and scarification during the evacuation process. Furthermore, a beneficial feature that could help robots easily coexist in risky situations and carry out the rescue mission perfectly is that robots have no feelings or emotions. According to Bruemmer (2006), robots do not have the capacity to perform or report aspects for which humans have not programmed them. In other words, robots are simply machines that cannot sense or recognize their surroundings without a sophisticated program developed by humans. Therefore, since robots do not have the ability to feel or know, they could go through inhumane conditions to save people. Additionally, robots have various capabilities that make them unique, allowing them to perform heavy tasks and support more weight...... middle of paper ...... ts could be exposed to emissions nuclear weapons and not be harmed, so they could be replaced by chemists who do the nuclear experiments. Third, manufacturing vehicles requires sophisticated facilities, which require robots programmed to do the exact job. Additionally, installing vehicle parts requires welding to wrap the parts, as this could be done easily by robots. As Farum (2012) stated, robotic welding is cheaper, faster, and could improve business competitiveness. In conclusion, robots could be the backbone of society that will bring about a technological revolution. Thanks to robots, various characteristics do not feel fear or exhaustion and are precisely programmed, making them capable of helping when needed, in household chores and in factory production. Society must take into account the issue of robots to address any shortages existing in the world..
