Essay / Family Planning Controversy - 1267
Ms. Cecile Richards, leader of Planned Parenthood, made her case about the videos during her testimony before the White House. Writing in the New York Times, Rep. Jason Chaffetz had a lot to say for a “pro-life” advocate regarding her hearing. He proposes the idea that all money intended to support Planned Parenthood should be used more efficiently. He gives examples like different types of cancer. He also states his opinion on Planned Parenthood and gives this quote: "Planned Parenthood has absolutely nothing to do with providing women's health care, it's just a political activity." » One of the points Chaffetz raised was Richard's apology that she made during the hearing. Her specific words were that she "apologized because she found it 'inappropriate' for the doctor in the video to have a clinical discussion in a non-confidential, non-clinical setting.".
