Creative ActivitiesI was a little hesitant to take this course because I don't consider myself creative. However, I enjoyed taking this course, I learned a lot, and I discovered that I could be creative if I put my mind to it. I thought creativity meant you had to be able to draw, paint, and just have an eye for art. I also thought that these skills should be mastered perfectly because they would be more attractive to others. This was not the case in this course. I learned that art should be open. It's the best way for children to learn. Children should be exposed to the materials and should not be restricted. They should be able to create what they want instead of something aimed at adults. This is new to me because I thought parents would appreciate perfectly put together projects because they would be able to identify what the children were doing and learning. However, they must be informed about open art by means of a newsletter or brochure.
