Essay / Importance of motivation in my life - 1053
I don't call him my half-brother, he is and always will be my brother. Damon and I met about three years ago. We are brothers because his mother and my father got married. My father and I don't have the best relationship; it's a very competitive and unhealthy relationship. When we meet, we hit it off right away, which is a little weird because I'm five years older than him, but he's about seven inches taller than me. We had a lot of common interest in sports and the outdoors. In our respective schools, we were both very popular and everyone loved us. We split up for a reason I didn't quite understand, and I thought it was because he was the only child. It was later revealed to me that my father spoke negatively about me to my brother and that this was due to his unflattering lies. About a month later, I received a very random text from my brother, apologizing and explaining how he was behaving completely inappropriately. It showed me that in life you will have ups and downs, but the people by your side are there to show you your strength. I love my brother with all my heart, and he motivates me by pushing me not to put myself down or close myself off..
