Essay / The Life of a Pediatrician - 1080
Choosing a career is more of a personal decision. Most pediatricians say they love and want to help children and young adults, including their families. Being a pediatrician is a wonderful way to help children in ways that most people cannot. Many people say that this job is very difficult to manage because it can become stressful. They say there isn't much room for personal or family time, but in the end it can be very rewarding. Some say this job is easy, but they don't live the life of a pediatrician. They say all they do is examine and determine problems that may exist in children. In reality, pediatricians do much more, such as communicating with parents or social workers if they think there is a problem within the family or ordering a test if necessary. (Career Cruising) Pediatricians mainly face diseases and other problems such as allergies, asthma, drug addiction, lead poisoning and acne because doctors usually detect these problems at an early stage of the life. (Career Cruising) There are many places to work for a pediatrician, such as a hospital, private practice, health maintenance organization, community health centers, public health, military and government clinics, and even schools. (Donna D'Alessandro) The level of education a person must have is a four-year college or university. Pediatricians must obtain their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from...... middle of paper ...... pediatricians are highly respected by their patients, colleagues, and the community. There are many skills and abilities required to become a pediatrician, but most of them are skills used every day. The pediatrician's income is sufficient to earn a good living. At first, it may be expensive to complete all the necessary education, but once completed, this work may no longer be rewarding. Works Cited “Pediatrician”. .NP, sdweb.
