To reveal the main ideas and facts presented by the document on Native Americans in the United States today, particularly the social, economic, and political situation of Indians in as indigenous inhabitants of the American continent. , representatives of one of the races living on the territory of the modern United States of America. The author focused on the influence of Native Americans on American culture and how their traditions and values helped shape the development of a multicultural society. Yet, as predicted, this influence was best analyzed through the lens of mutual influence – from Native Americans to the rest of American society and vice versa. This is due to the different sizes and efficiencies of the influences mentioned, since the cultural particularities of Americans of Western or European descent are somewhat constant compared to other cultures. According to the US census, their number reached 2.9 million people in 2010, 18% more than in the previous census of 2000 (Humes, Jones and Ramirez). Mass media reported that gambling was the primary source of income for Native Americans. The second important way to replenish their own budget by activity is cigarette manufacturing. Additionally, American Indians are engaged in ranching, agricultural production, crafts, and commerce. The federal government subsidizes Indians and grants them significant tax benefits.
