The last four stories, specifically The Eye, the Night, the Voices and Dear Life, are analyzed. Munro is a talented writer whose quality lies in her ability to show the surface of everyday life with both concern and unwavering accuracy. The main characteristics of narrative techniques are the plot, setting, characters and style used by the writer in his stories. Munro's attitude appears to have changed with the publication of Dear Life. This is supposed to be the last book of his career and the author also returns to his wounds in the "final" or autobiographical sections.
