Essay / Analysis of the Charlie Hebdo tragedy - 1442
No one has the right and the “privilege” to decide on the physical existence of other humans. However, the Charlie Hebdo tragedy reveals the enormous scale of racism, inequality and the terrorist society in which we live. It is extremely important to ask how it is that the disappearance of 12 lives attracts more attention than the disappearance of millions of Muslims, of Palestinians. and the Arabs? Is Charlie Hebdo magazine morally correct? On November 3, the cover of the satirical newspaper shows Mohammed saying: "100 lashes if you don't die of laughter." This kind of title I call “overwhelming and constant arrogance”. France is one of the countries where Arabs are the most disadvantaged and exploited in the world! The freedom of expression exercised by Charlie Hebdo magazine makes fun of the Islamic world, of Mohammed, of their religion and their traditions. The “hilarious” caricatures produced by the magazine are an imprisonment of religion, not individual freedom. Issue 1099 of the magazine brutally mocks the massacre of thousands of Egyptians, claiming that the Koran is "crap" and that it "doesn't stop bullets." So, how can we justify the bullets fired into the bodies of Charlie Hebdo employees? Much of the culpability for the shooting is found in the caricatures and degrading and trivialized ideas of the French magazine. Religion is not something we should degrade and brutally mock, while the world tries to erase religion.
