With the goals and end in mind, I hope to use my new knowledge and strategies to be an effective instructor. I know that literacy is crucial for students moving forward in life. I aspire to motivate students in lifelong learning, but also to guide them in their growth through teaching and the literacy process. I think about voting when the word literacy comes to mind. It’s not being able to vote, it’s being an informed voter. The most informed and educated voters (citizens) can impact not only our lives and our nation, but our personal lives as well. Literacy is essential for knowing how to apply for a job, read a prescription bottle, and even read articles in the media. Literacy is about more than developing lesson plans and learning. Literacy is a survival skill. I hope to make people like it
