Essay / Judaism and Judaism: The History of Judaism - 1211
Karl Mark once said that this religion is the opiate of people (Works of Karl Marx 1843). Different people have different views on religion. Some people don't believe in God, others do. There are hundreds of religions in this world; Judaism is one of the oldest and best known religions. For Jews, Judaism is not only their religion, but also their culture. Judaism originated in a Middle Eastern country called Palestine, also known as Israel. The Hebrew Torah Bible contains the history of Judaism. There is archaeological evidence proving that the Torah is true. According to the book, Abraham, also known as the father of faith, is the founder of Judaism. He lived in the 2nd millennium BC. According to the book, Abraham, his wife, and his nephew Lot left their homeland as the lord had commanded him to do. He eventually settled in Canaan, which the Jewish people believe is their promised land from God. Canaan is a fertile and fertile land located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Abraham's son Isaac had a son Jacob and he had 12 sons who later became the 12 tribes of Israel. The 12 tribes multiplied and eventually formed the nation of Israel (Franklin). The 12 families emigrated to Egypt and multiplied there, the current pharaoh of the time kept them in captivity for several years. Moses, a Hebrew, became their leader and delivered them from captivity. Judaism underwent many cultural and religious changes from the time of Abraham to the Mosaic period (Edwards). In the beginning, the Hebrews lived a nomadic life and most of them were farmers and shepherds. The tribal structure of Hebrew primarily resembles the Mesopotamians of the 18th century BCE. The laws and family customs of the Israelites primarily reflected the Babylonian laws of the middle of paper...of the eastern world as well. In the 21st century, Jewish culture, religion, and politics have changed dramatically. Judaism and Jewish culture have always been fascinating and therefore the world has been continually attracted to Jewish culture and tradition, and will continue to be so in the future as well (Edwards). I chose the topic Judaism to learn more about Jews and their culture. Judaism has had a great impact on Western civilization and its culture has also greatly influenced the world. I didn't know that Islam and Christianity came from the ideology of Judaism and that they all came from the same place, the Middle East. The important lesson that can be learned from Judaism is that if you have strong will and hard work, no matter what your week is, no matter what the world talks about you, no matter if you are a minority, you will survive and will achieve victory. at the end.
