When two cultures clash, the loser is destroyed and the victor writes history books – books that glorify their own cause and denigrate the vanquished enemy. As Napoleon said: “What is history if not an agreed-upon fable? » -Dan Brown. Dan Brown is an American author who has numerous award-winning and acclaimed science fiction novels based on history. He is also my favorite author. Several of his novels include The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point, Angels and Demons, Digital Fortress, Inferno and The Lost Symbol. Brown's novels are treasure hunts set over a 24-hour period and feature the recurring themes of cryptography, keys, symbols, codes and conspiracy theories. By 2012, his books were recorded to have sold over 200,000,000 copies. (Dan Brown) The Da Vinci Code alone sold over 20,000,000 copies in the first month of its release.
