I need to improve my body language by smiling and nodding during the interview to draw his attention to my answers. This will help me create a positive attitude with the interviewer so that I can draw their attention to my answers and show enthusiasm. I will increase the use of words that are grammatically correct and present a professional demeanor. I would like to improve on giving in-depth information and clear background information in my answers so that the interviewer can relate to it convincingly. I also need to expand my expertise in developing stories based on the STAR approach in order to increase my potential to best answer behavior-based interview questions. This interview simulation included in this course was helpful in developing strategies to overcome nervousness and demonstrate confidence in verbal and non-verbal communication during an interview. It also improved my interview skills, preparing me for questions that could potentially be asked by an interviewer to learn general information and desired professional behavior. Reviewing all of my responses helped me analyze areas for improvement. The scoring rubric was helpful in getting feedback from my colleague and coach, who has a professional.
