    This article will examine my personal responses to three questions presented by Indian Wesleyan University. motivation to continue my education and obtain my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). My motivation for nursing education extends through my personal dedication and efforts to promote health and wellness to the public. What is your motivation for obtaining the Master of Science in Nursing? It has always been my goal to continue my studies beyond my bachelor's degree in nursing. nursing science to obtain an advanced nurse practitioner degree. My motivation also came from my childhood, my clinical rotations, the experience of my preceptors and the knowledge of my advisors. Having the opportunity to be taught by a professor who encourages students by showing support in postgraduate studies and programs was a beneficial motivation. Early in my childhood, I was faced with a task that many adults could not undertake. I have had thirteen years of personal experience with disability thanks to my mother who suffers from systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Giving medications, going to appointments and listening to doctors specializing in internal medicine and rheumatology enriched my knowledge and training from a very young age. This experience led me to pursue the NP program because I found my curiosity and interest in helping my mother with her chronic illness a motivation to pursue a degree in nursing. Additionally, the professors at Lakeview College of Nursing motivated me to continue my education. They expressed the importance of continuing to learn and provide the highest level of nursing expertise. I have mentors who are graduates of Indiana Wesleyan who have provided me with a lot of insight into their incredible experience ... middle of paper ...... life doesn't have to be a negative factor for their future. Showing at-risk youth that they can achieve and become anything they want with dedication and hard work. I don't want to see current youth in low-income areas become another statistic. Taking control of your health is crucial to avoid becoming another number among the victims of STDs, early pregnancies and much more. Giving them the confidence and encouragement to care about their health and education is my personal mission. Having my PI will allow me to work with the desired population at a higher level of skill and knowledge to promote change.
