Essay / Rhetorical Criticism of “Dear White People” - 709
He decides not to listen to his new reform and he and his friends rebel by throwing a party. The party has white people dressing in black and imitating black people, showing that the racial problems on their campus are far from resolved. The storyline of the film was interesting and since it was a social satire, it made the plot outrageously funny, but also addressed the serious issues we have on college campuses. I showed interest in the film because of the character Sam played in a unique role on a predominantly white campus. I would consider the film a must-see and would definitely refer to African American children who don't seem to fit into their predominantly white identity.
