Essay / FWD and RWD: Why an RWD is better - 964
The battle between FWD and RWD has lasted 50 years. I am writing this essay to prove that RWD is the correct configuration for 2WD vehicles. Customers are unsure which wheels actually drive the vehicle and which are best suited to their particular needs. There are four main drivetrain forms: front-wheel drive (FWD), rear-wheel drive (RWD), four-wheel drive (4WD), or all-wheel drive (AWD). Each has its advantages, and no provision is suitable for all situations. Normally sedans are based on FWD and RWD, the other two are used for SUVs and trucks. The question of whether customers should buy FWD and RWD cars is complex and controversial. Different people have different ideas due to their driving experience and consumer attitudes. On the one hand, many people believe that only all-wheel drive cars represent luxury and high performance. On the other hand, cars manufactured with front-wheel drive are much cheaper and popular. However, most customers are blind and ignorant about this. Many of them don't even know the car configuration of their sedan after using it for decades. Literally, with rear-wheel drive, the rear wheels drive the vehicle. RWDs appeared with the invention of the automobile. Before the 1950s, rear-wheel drive vehicles were the most common way for cars, such as the famous VW Beetle and Ford Model T. Subsequently, with the popularization of front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles, the proportion of rear-wheel drive vehicles has declined dramatically. Currently, only trucks, sports cars and luxury cars are still rear-wheel drive based. FWD, which means front wheel drive, is more popular now because it is cheaper than RWD. Although there are pros and cons to both methods, I would definitely choose RWD. There is no doubt that luxury and premium cars like Mercedes-Benz and BMW, which have experience in the automobile industry, will choose R...... middle of paper...... WD cars are definitely worth it for 2WD sedan consumers. . Some people may insist that FWD cars are cheaper than RWD cars. However, because RWD cars are inexpensive to repair and fun to drive, there is no doubt that they should be the first choice of automakers and consumers. I believe you will feel much safer in RWD cars in the future. ReferencesSilver, S. (2010). How to determine if your car is front or rear wheel drive. Wikihow.com.
