  • Essay / Essay on My Most Memorable Day in College

My most memorable day in college probably has to be my last day. During a track meet last year, I tore my meniscus and was on crutches for over a month. When I had two knees working, what seemed like a two-minute walk quickly turned into what seemed like miles of sidewalk. It took me over 10 minutes to get to college and I was too much for the first week. I didn't show up for three classes. Ms. Kelly knew why from the email, but to this day I still don't know if she told the students what happened. When I finally got used to my crutches, I was able to walk across what seemed like a huge campus field and up the elevator. When I walked into the classroom, the look of happiness and worry that covered each student's face and the simple, "Sam, what did you do?" exclaimed a student I will call Joseph. It was this simple remark that showed that I mattered to the students. Perhaps their first thought when I joined the class was that I was going to be easy to fool. I see that by the end of the year it has turned into an unprecedented friendship.
