    In the “Merrian-Webster” dictionary, bioterrorism is defined as “terrorism involving the use of biological weapons.” In other words, an individual who uses living organisms to harm one or more individuals. These cases of bioterrorism can be intentional or accidental. Countries have used bioterrorism to influence other countries to gain power. In 2002, after September 1, 2001, when two planes crashed into the Twin Towers in New York and another into the Pentagon in Washington DC. After the terrorist attack, members of Congress received mail containing anthrax, a chemical that would enter the victim's lungs and cause breathing problems. President George W. Bush then signed the Bioterrorism Act of 2002. This law helped control bioterrorism, but some individuals still oppose this law and still attack other countries, including the United States. Yersinia pestis (plague) is an example of bioterrorism. . This disease has caused several deaths over the past 2,000 years in Europe and Asia. In the 14th century, it was called the bubonic plague, better known as the "Black Death." The plague has three stages: bubonic, septicemic and pneunomine. The first few days, the bubonic phase takes place, that is, after the individual has been infected. Symptoms include fever, headache, weakness, upper leg and groin pain, white tongue, rapid heartbeat, slurred speech, confusion and fatigue. On the third day, throbbing inflammation of the lymph nodes in the armpits, neck and groin occurs, leading to "buboes". The plague then progresses to septicemic plague which causes bleeding under the skin, causing the skin to turn purple, giving the color of a bruise.
