    This helped her take control of the meeting from the start. That was a part I was missing because of my facial expressions. When I asked her about her eye contact, I frowned slightly and often adjusted my sitting position, but it seemed like I was moving away from her. This could indicate judgment and is something I would never have felt the client was coming from me. I should have dealt with the uncomfortable sitting position or even explained to my client that the seat was uncomfortable, so she would have known it wasn't her who was causing all the backsliding. I managed to keep a non-judgmental expression when she talked about smoking in front of her children and letting them cry so she could smoke marijuana. It wasn't about me or my values, I had to put them aside completely and focus on my values.
