  • Essay / Essay on Technology in Technology - 1676

The middle class is slowly evaporating, allowing only a two-tiered system where only one side thrives. Technology is the “next big thing” for the world and it hasn’t gotten any better in our time at the consumer level. Most highly trained professionals – scientists, enthusiasts, and engineers – believe that computers are only at the beginning of their existence. Even in their infancy, technology and robotics are hurting our economy to the point where many workers may no longer be able to hold the same jobs. It's up to us to take control of the situation and help the next generation. Large IT companies must help teach citizens how to use computers effectively, so they don't fall behind digitally. Secondary and lower schools must require computer courses to help them in the long term in our ever-growing knowledge-based society. Finally, organizing events such as hackathons would encourage children and others to test technology outside of their normal activities and have real hands-on experiences with it. It is up to us Americans to uphold these demands to successfully protect our future leaders and our children for years to come.
