    Principles of Islam that can be applied to improve the situation. The ethical problem in this case study is that a rogue security guard who shot dead bank officer Norazita Abu Bakar before fleeing with RM450,000 from Ambank branch in Subang Jaya has been arrested in Johor this morning. Three ethical problems can be highlighted in this case: i. Murder II. Rob III. Using a Fake IdentityAll these ethical issues will be briefly discussed one by one, including the principles of Islam that can be applied to improve the situation.i. The laws of murder in Islam. In Islamic law, it is strictly forbidden to kill someone without any valid reason for killing. The Glorious Quran condemned the killing of humans (except in defense or as capital punishment). Allah SWT went even further, equating the unlawful killing of a single human being with the mass murder of all humanity: “Because of this, We have ordained for the children of Israel that if anyone kills a person , it wasn't in retaliation for murder or spreading evil on earth, it would be like killing all of humanity. And whoever saved one life would be as if he saved all of humanity. (The Noble Quran: Surah Al-Maidah, 5:32) However, in general, Islamic law provides that murderers incur the death penalty. However, the victim's heirs may choose to exempt the murderer from the death penalty in exchange for damages. The murderer will nevertheless be sentenced by a judge, possibly to a long prison sentence, but the death penalty will be abolished. This principle is known as Diyyah, unfortunately known in English as “blood money”. It is more appropriate to speak of “compensation for victims”.
