Essay / Remarkable Woman - 1182
Amelia Earhart's words, "Courage is the price life demands for making peace with yourself" can be linked to the woman I have chosen. I chose to write about a woman who has been an inspiration in my life. She inspired me to continue my studies as well as to evolve in my field of work. Due to the professor's instructions, I will keep the identity of my chosen woman confidential, although she made it clear during our interview that she would not hesitate to inspire other women by announcing her name. I will begin by introducing her as a young Puerto Rican woman born in Harlem Hospital in New York and raised in the Bronx, on a hot day on June 30, 1976. She was the first of three bright young women. As a child, she was raised in a great religion, always remembering that everything is possible in God. She was born and raised in church, and as a child she loved singing to the Almighty. At home with her parents and two younger sisters, she was always energetic and ready to take charge. She tells me that as a young girl, she always loved teaching her younger sisters everything she knew. His parents never studied, his father only managed to go to high school and his mother never left primary school. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, her parents were forced to drop out of school and work to help maintain their home. His father worked in a metal warehouse and didn't have time to sit down and help him with his schoolwork. Her mother never learned to write and read because she never finished primary school. So she found herself staying after school every day and getting all kinds of tutoring to be able to succeed in her studies, and she did. Growing up, she had to be her sister's guardian and helper...... middle of paper ...... or her career, she resisted courageously and achieved all her dreams. Among the many things she inspired in me, I must say that she gave me the courage to continue what I started many years ago and improve my life and that of my son. She inspired me to reach for the stars and realize that our horizons are as broad as we want them to be. She taught me many lessons that I will carry with me and teach my child. I told her that I am not a person who desires or wishes to be like others, but that if I wanted to be like her, it would be because of her courage and achievements. She was the first in her family to graduate and pursue it as a career, and I would love to follow in her footsteps and achieve my goals and dreams. I thanked her for giving me the opportunity to interview her and witness her remarkable life..
