Explain the type of person I am? I am persistent. I am not giving up and I am determined to succeed in my studies. I overcame many difficulties throughout my undergraduate years. Which led to my downfall, but over the years, I got back up and showed that I was capable of succeeding in my sociology degree. ***←- how can I show this without saying that I am determined to succeed. Transition: One of the greatest accomplishments I made in sociology was my research for the Anthropology and Sociology Conference. Kentucky Anthropologists and Sociologists; my research focused on Slutwalk, an international social movement that challenges conventional wisdom about rape culture, particularly rape myths. This movement empowers women by organizing protest marches in which women dress in "slutty" clothing to inform victims of sexual assault that their clothing is not responsible for their own rape. At the conference, I presented my research to an audience in a session titled From Local to Global. Following my presentation, I received questions about why Slutwalk is important to sociologists and why this topic interested me. I explained that I was passionate about understanding why women blame themselves for rape and working to change that response. ← Some/many of the sentences are so complex, how can I break the sentences down so the reader can grasp this information? The professor taught the course as an English university course. The research methods course is difficult and has a high dropout rate. As you can see, I passed the course without retaking it. Research methods, along with sociology courses, consist of intensive courses that challenge points of view.
