As Harrison Enudi once said, “God is the author and finisher of your destiny.” No one can do anything that will change that; Once God decides what destiny and destiny a person will face, it will become the story of their life. The idea that a person's destiny was predetermined by God was a widely accepted belief in the Elizabethan era (A Pair of Star-Crossed Lovers Take Their Lives). In the book Romeo and Juliet, Romeo plays the role of a tragic hero who is not responsible for his tragic end, but rather is a victim of fortune and chance. His tragic flaw, his immaturity and his cruel luck led him to become a victim of suicide for a reason that does not exist. No matter how superficial, reckless, and capricious Romeo is, he is simply what he is: a normal character. teenager. No one is perfect and they should not be blamed for Juliet's death simply because of their tragic flaws. Romeo's superficiality in choosing the people he is attracted to by their appearances is what caused him to fall in love too quickly and too easily in the first place. From the beginning, Rosaline's look charmed Romeo into believing that he was in love with her. He asserted: “she is too just, too wise, too just to deserve happiness by making me despair” (Shakespeare, 1.1. 24-25). Romeo never expressed his love for Rosaline other than through her beauty. Moreover, even when he tries to forget her, Romeo searches for a beauty who could surpass Rosaline. Romeo said: “Show me a passable mistress; what use is its beauty but as a note where I can read who has passed this passing fair” (Shakespear 1.1.24-25)? He judges a person solely on their appearance, not their personality or intelligence. He is young, wild, and like any normal teenager, his love is limited to the middle of a paper... destiny. As Romeo once said: “I defy your star” (Shakespeare, 5.1.212-213)! Romeo interprets the stars as a symbol of his destiny and his tragic end. By defying the stars, he says he is rebelling against his own beliefs and against the sky. As Romeo and Juliet says, “Quite simply, fate took this young couple and played against them a cruel game with loaded dice, without the aid of any evil in men” (Bloom, 153). Some people may see Romeo as the greatest and greatest of men. the bravest man on the planet who was willing to kill himself to be with the love of his life. However, the truth is that he is just a boy who fell in love too quickly, an immature boy who couldn't stand having to live without Juliet, and a boy who played a role in a game of tragic destiny. He is nothing more than a simple teenager who unfortunately fell victim to a coincidence..
