  • Essay / A love story - 1957

Daisy is sitting in the back of the bus. She enjoys the ride and looks out the window. The bus then stops abruptly and she is thrown forward in her seat. Fred then walks towards the bus and sees that the only seat left is the one next to Daisy. Fred sat up with a huff and began to make himself comfortable. The bus then set off and they got back on the road. Five minutes into the ride, Daisy was busy writing her song, then she sang it quietly to herself. As she sings, Fred rudely says "do you mind" to Daisy. This took Daisy by surprise. She then sat down and turned to Fred. She said, “We haven’t met each other yet.” Daisy introduces herself and she then sits down and asks who Fred is. Fred said harshly and coldly "don't worry about it." This comment really upset Daisy and made her sad. She then turned her back on Fred. Daisy was so hurt by Fred's comments and his rude actions towards her. This caused Daisy to stare out the window for a long time. For the next hour of the ride, Daisy looked out the window until Fred turned to her and told her his name was Fred. This surprises Daisy and makes her a little happier about the whole thing. Even though it was a better reaction than the first time, she still didn't trust Fred so she just ignored him. She waited about 10 minutes and felt bad for avoiding Fred so she turned to him. She suddenly notices that he was sleeping before she can ask him some questions. Knowing this now, Daisy fell asleep happily knowing she had made a new friend. Half an hour later, Daisy woke up to the sound of the road. Daisy sat up and found Fred reading his newspaper. Daisy decided she would take another ch...... middle of paper ...... the scenery was. As the taxi slowed down in front of a house, he could feel the butterflies in his stomach and his heart racing. fast as a drum as he headed towards the front door. The door slowly opened and revealed Daisy. She was speechless to see Fred. She was about to ask him why he was there but he interrupted her and told her that he made the wrong choice by letting her get off at the bus stop. Daisy was surprised to hear this.
