The engineering profession is important for modern society. Engineers integrate the concept of development into their daily work. They draw on scientific theory, data, and personal creativity to expose challenges. Engineers must embrace their role as providers to society and use “soft skills” to facilitate meaningful engagement with recipients and other stakeholders (Cruickshank and Fenner, 2007). In reality, engineers are practical people skilled in creation and transformation. Professional engineers have a good understanding of the principles that support both the natural and technical world; they already have many of the skills needed to solve sustainability problems (Parkin, 2009). There is considerable controversy over the man-made climate crisis. The role of engineers is to find solutions to reduce pollution.
