TS Eliot's poem, The Journey of the Magi, presents a theme of struggle and sadness. The author uses figurative language, images, and sound to describe the arduous journey to Bethlehem. Even though the “Journey of the Magi” was flooded with struggle and sadness. The journey remained significant because the evidence of salvation is manifested in birth and death. The “Journey of the Magi” is divided into three distinct stanzas. The first stanza describes the physical hardships endured during the journey; the second describes the emotional struggles caused by the difficulties of the journey. The last stanza is a reflection of the magi recalling the journey and its uncertainty regarding birth or death.
