Everyone can still learn their native language, but they also need to learn the other language, so people can talk to non-natives and be able to respond. People might talk about how difficult it would be to let people choose just one language. Yes, that would be a big problem, but the language should be a written and spoken language, like when Mcwhorter says: "Japanese is enshrined not only as a language of speech, but also as a language of education, literature and journalism... » (434). He says that this language will exist "as long as there are Japanese people meeting and raising children in Japan" (Mcwhorter 434). There are many people who speak it, it is written and spoken, which is why it will not die anytime soon. If people still don't agree, then the United Nations could come together and decide for everyone. Any language would be difficult to learn, according to Mcwhorter: “Every language is difficult in its own way” (433). The younger you learn the language, the easier it will be to learn, because it is easier for a child to learn a language than for someone who is.
