Essay / Canadian Health System: Health Care in Canada...
I agree with some of the statements presented in the Mythbusters article, as well as from the perspective of a Canadian taxpayer. I don't feel like I should pay for services that I may not use. The use of the term "services" can be broad, but it's fair to say that many people are trying to save money. For example, I do not need access to a psychiatrist because I do not have a mental illness that requires treatment. In this case, I should not have to pay for it, and these services should be privatized since such services are only needed by some but not all. In the article, they identify that "CHA services such as psychiatrists employed in hospital settings are services that are not technically medically necessary, since the term applies only to care provided by a physician." If I don't need a particular service, the money should come either from individuals' pockets or from any insurance or employment benefits they may receive, but not from public funds from public money. taxpayers. One suggestion that I think could be beneficial in the future is that any additional public money available should be spent on expanding hospital rooms or creating more rooms for patients. However, I disagree with one of the major health care services that is being privatized and which I believe should be part of public coverage. Dental care is a privatized health care service in Canada that the majority of individuals have used, are still using or could use.
