    In an effort to maintain peace, security and a disciplined environment conducive to effective teaching and learning, many schools have adopted the Tolerance Policy zero. This philosophy was created in the 1990s as an anti-drug approach to combat widespread drug use, possession, and sale in schools (Jones, 2013). Today, this policy is used to enforce the application of predetermined consequences for violations of stated rules. These rules may concern a number of issues; drugs, intimidation, theft and corporal punishment. This report will examine and explore the various uses of the Zero Tolerance Plan and its applications in schools across American society. There will be a study on the effectiveness of zero tolerance, an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of its use, an evaluation of a case scenario with regard to the use of this policy and an action plan for formulate a good disposition. The perception of stakeholders will be examined and how they are impacted in these decisions will be demonstrated. Detailing the pros and cons of a desired course of action in response to the situation and examining the effectiveness of a zero tolerance policy will help investigate the possible outcomes of court decisions regarding the affair. This will also allow for a more in-depth look at research on the moral and ethical implications of expulsion due to a violation of a zero-tolerance policy.
