"The Great Gatsby." This title piqued my curiosity as to why Gatsby is so great. The author of the book, F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896~1940), kept me reading this book with his deft writing skills. This book is set up by the story of Mello and Romance. This book has a first person narrator, Nick Carraway. He is a sincere and faithful man who lives next to Gatsby's big chic house which offers luxury parties every night. He criticizes Gatsby's life of lies and delusion, but praises his honest and earnest love for Daisy. Following Gatsby's death, he returns to his hometown after becoming disillusioned with Eastern life which has only splendid appearance but a lack of honesty. Jay Gatsby is the protagonist of the story. He wrongly believes that only materialism can return his love since Daisy left him and his poverty behind. He therefore accumulates wealth and every evening offers a magnificent party near his house which awaits him. However, due to his tenacity and his hollow dream in corrupted matter...
