Nothing is impossibleYour youngest sibling is thousands of miles away and their lives could be in danger. This knowledge is known through newspaper articles that talk about your sibling's struggles with a heavy addiction to lifelong drug use like heroin. Illegal drugs like this are known to cost millions of lives. Once these facts are established, it is possible that the identified drug user like your sibling will lose sight of a healthy lifestyle and may never realize their full potential. As an older sibling, you can think of various ideas, such as if they are okay, how this all happened, and if there is anything you can do to help them. This predicament was described in a famous short story called “Sonny’s Blues” written by James Baldwin. As people, we must either choose to tackle these issues or ignore them. The older brother, known as the narrator throughout the story, took on these additional responsibilities in order to help transform his younger brother's life. The younger brother named Sonny provided strong evidence throughout the story that he was able to renew his life through his love and passion for blues music. However, Sonny is not the only one to renew himself. The older brother also renews his life by realizing what is truly important to him and how to be a true brother. Sonny's jazz performance in front of his older brother at the end of the story is full of evidence that they have both renewed their lives. This evidence is found in the final pages of Baldwin's excellent literature on "Sonny's Blues." At the beginning of Sonny's performance, he was a little nervous because of his older brother's presence with n...... middle of paper ......t and makes better decisions to wrap up the rest of their life. This pleasant story showed how a person can renew himself. Sonny renewed himself by playing the blues, instead of using heroin. It was a long, difficult journey, but he showed that it could be done. The older brother renewed himself, making his older brother his main priority and never taking him for granted again. They both realize that they need each other and that they can do anything if they support each other. Never think that something is impossible to overcome. It will be a difficult path to overcome life's problems. However, when a person is finally able to renew himself, everything in life will become easier to overcome.
