The Iraq War had a great impact on American history. “At a fundamental level, the failure to overthrow Saddam [Hussein] would mean that, despite [the terrorist attacks] of September 11 [2001], we, as a nation, are still unwilling to assume the responsibilities of leadership world, even to protect ourselves. The Iraq War broke out in 2003 with many reasons why the United States went to war against Iraq. On December 21, 2011, President Obama finally declared the end of the war in Iraq. Many technological advances have helped the United States. Additionally, many very important events in American history occurred throughout the Iraq War. Along with this, many battles have been important to America. Another thing that impacted the United States during the Iraq War was the economy. Many reasons led to the outbreak of war with the Iraqi nation. One of those reasons was the September 11 attacks. President George W. Bush believed Iraq was linked to the 9/11 terrorist attack. The weapons of mass destruction that were in Iraq were being trained in the middle of paper...... families were left homeless. In conclusion, the Iraq War had an impact on American history. Many factors caused the start of the war with Iraq, one of the main reasons why Saddam Hussein was trying to develop weapons of mass destruction. There were many very important moments throughout the Iraq War that are worth knowing about. Added to this are many major battles that played an important role in the United States' victory in the war against Iraq. Not only did the Iraq War impact American history, but it also affected the American economy. Education is funded for less learning for students across the country, many people are unable to pay their medical bills and receive no help from health insurance companies because their budgets are limited , and also many people live on the street without shelter for a while. war that almost cost the country $1 trillion.
