Books that make me want to move on to the next sentence and make me want to know more. One of my favorite books is Outsiders by SE Hinton. Although it was a must-read book during my seventh grade. This is by far one of the best books I have read and I can read it again and again. I'm not the type of person who just looks for books to read or goes to Barnes and Noble, picks up a book, sits down with a cup of coffee at Starbucks and reads. It's not me. I don't like reading, I don't like sitting there reading words, honestly it puts me to sleep. Over the past 12 months, I read one book, Pride and Prejudice, because it was required summer reading. But what I like to do is write. I've always loved sitting down and writing stories and letting my creative side flow. I have entered numerous creative writing competitions and have published two poems in the book Creative Communication: A Celebration of Today's Writers. Although in the past I have had many reading and writing experiences. Academically, it was difficult for me to understand. One of the hardest things for me about reading was understanding what was happening. This has always been one of my major struggles, from elementary school to high school.
