The 1920s were a prosperous time for residents of the United States. Stocks were at record highs, jobs were everywhere, and the world seemed to be changing for the better (“The Roaring Twenties”; Wikipedia). According to Wikipedia, this decade had several different names, including: "The Roaring Twenties", "The Jazz Age", as well as "The Golden Age of the Twenties" in some European countries. However, another major event occurred at the end of the Greatest Generation ("Timelines of Generations Beginning with the 1920s"; poetic_lala), the automobile revolution. The “automotive revolution” had a tremendous impact on the United States, from environmental issues to the way people lived their daily lives. (“1920s”; Wikipedia)During the 1920s, a major technological revolution had come into the spotlight: Henry Ford's assembly line. The widely acclaimed assembly line allowed manufacturing companies to create many more products to sell, one of those products being your everyday automobiles. With these companies' ability to manufacture increasing numbers of vehicles, they have been able to meet growing public demand. Prosperity at that time allowed the residence to make these material purchases that it so desired. From then on, the world would change greatly to accommodate the steady increase of these pragmatic automobiles born during this exuberant decade.
