People suffering from depression may sleep too long or sleep fewer hours. Depression also influences energy levels, regardless of the amount of sleep. Some depressed people may become nervous and easily agitated, pacing quickly, or fidgeting constantly. Many experience extreme lethargy, losing motivation and the will to continue. An incredibly common feeling is that depression is the feeling of too much burden. It could be other people's standards, social anxiety, or traumatic experiences. Depressed people may also have difficulty thinking, poor concentration, and memory problems. Feelings of worthlessness, helplessness, guilt and self-blame are among the most commonly recorded. This leads to depression's major influence on the world, suicidal thoughts and actions. At least fifteen percent of severely depressed people successfully commit suicide. In turn, ninety percent of people who commit suicide suffer from depression or a depression-related mental illness.
