DECISION MAKINGDecision making is really important in management planning. This can influence the actions of others and it will also have good or bad consequences. The manager often must make decisions regarding planning, staffing, organizing, and supervision. Good decision making will optimize the output or performance of an organization. IBM led decision management in its business. This decision management is divided into two groups: operational decision management and analytical decision management. Each direction focuses on different areas depends on the type of problems. Operational decision management was made possible by business rule management, while analytical decision management was made possible by predictive analytics. Of course, no company has perfect decision management. IBM's decision management also contains some flaws. IBM's decision making is not as fast as it should be. IBM executives are not really sure what authority they have been given and therefore do not use all the authorities available to them. IBM also often reacted too slowly due to "too many" factors in its management, such as too much discussion, too many committee decisions, too many levels of approval before wanting it to happen, and too much groupthink. . IBM should really reduce all these factors and promote individual decision making in order to achieve a higher work completion rate with the lowest possible level of discussions, consultations and multi-level approvals. Good managers should have good decisions...... middle of paper ...... today's context is changing and very different. IBM will have to learn, adapt and adapt to a changing world in major crisis by loosening certain angles and making radical changes to its management practices. There are few ideas and recommendations that could help IBM achieve its goals in the modern era, such as continuing to focus on the biggest opportunities, retaining existing capabilities while adding new ones, and using a list of information to plan for the future. IBM leaders must take strategic risks to create exponential growth using different IBM resources. IBM can also improve its management by developing people and the IBM community. This will help invest in IBM's future leadership..
