    Greatest Muslim AchievementsThe Muslim community has achieved a lot in the past. Muslims would not have accomplished what they accomplished without the intelligent minds of the past. Today, the Muslim community would not be as progressed as it is today. The religion Islam has accomplished many different milestones that some religions only hope to accomplish. We find that Islam is a very strict and serious religion. They have rules and guidelines that seem silly or strange to other religions. For Muslims, these rules are normal and must be respected. Muslims have accomplished more than we think. Without them, some communities around the world would not have access to some of the very important knowledge we use today. One of the greatest achievements made by the Muslim community was the hijra. This was a turning point in the rise of Islam. Muhammad strove to make Islam an accepted religion. In 622, Muhammad was threatened with murder. He and his followers stop trying to teach Islam in Mecca. They went to Yathrib. Yathrib was later renamed Medina. Medina is today a city in Saudi Arabia. The journey from Mecca to Yathrib was called the hijra. In Medina, Muhammad and his followers were accepted. The people there welcomed Islam and decided to start practicing it. They became the Muslim community or umma. Rules have been created. If Muhammad had not gone to Medina, Islam would not have been accepted. Today, Islam would not have been one of the most widely practiced religions if Muhammad had not gone to Medina. In medicine, the Muslim community accomplished things that we use today. They were among the first to build hospitals. In the 8th century, hospitals appeared. Today, hospitals are very useful and without them, doctors ... middle of paper ... simply accomplish these achievements. There have been many other achievements. Everything they accomplished affects us. The Muslim community is very proud of what they have done, and they should be. Islam is a very interesting and amazing religion.
