During their final year of study, they must practice under the direction of a licensed pharmacist (such as an internship), graduate from an accredited college, and pass the pharmacy knowledge exam known as Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT). Although they have the option of earning a doctorate in pharmacy after completing their studies, several colleges offer a doctorate. degrees. Doctoral degrees give them the opportunity to work in laboratories and pursue research experiments. After graduating and passing the PCAT to obtain their license, the new licensed pharmacist has endless responsibilities.
