IntroductionSince participating in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program during my sixth year, I have been looking forward to the completion of the Personal Project. Since being at the IB, I have learned to have my own mentality. Being at the IB has taught me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I decided to do a project on making bracelets for all illnesses. The color of the bracelets represents the type of illness you have. My goal for this personal project was to create a number of carefully and well-made paracord bracelets and sell them to raise money for some charities. These paracord bracelets are intended to help raise awareness among different potential buyers. I have seen my family and friends suffer from different illnesses which have taken their toll on all of them. Seeing them suffer gave me a good idea to make these bracelets for my personal project. When I was 12 years old, my grandmother told me that we should make paracord bracelets for people who are in nursing homes and hospitals who are suffering from any type of illness and/or of infirmity. When I sat there and thought about what I should do for my personal project, I thought about what my grandmother and I did when I was 12 years old. These bracelets are made from a very durable material called paracord. I have been inspired by the passion and optimism of my friends and family members in the face of all we have been through, in the face of illness and infirmity. I decided that creating these awareness bracelets would be the perfect idea for my personal project. I also decided to incorporate the area of interaction, human ingenuity, into my project and decided that I could donate 100% of all profits to various charities...... middle of paper ......he The goal of my personal project was difficult at first, but over time things became quite easy. I enjoyed doing this project even though there were obstacles. I saw myself tackling another personal project following these same steps. I was determined to complete this project ahead of time without thinking about the challenges I would face.ConclusionIn conclusion, I enjoyed the outcome of my personal project and I am satisfied with the result. Breaking the project down step by step worked well for me. I managed to overcome the obstacles that stood in my way and continued to pursue my goal. Setting goals can really take you far in life. It helps you succeed at things you thought you'd never succeed at. Overall, I'm proud of myself and decided to take on another personal project using the lessons I learned..
