Essay / Aging, Death, Dying and End of Life Care - 2419
The aim of this essay is to analyze various theories about aging, death, dying and end of life issues from different perspectives such as : biophysiological theories, psychosocial theories. ; and considering the cultural, historical and religious implications around the aforementioned life stages. Important issues related to social work practice will also be discussed, such as dignity, autonomy and their relationship to the concepts of successful aging and a good death. These areas are considered important because they support anti-discriminatory practices and can perhaps promote the development of personalized care pathways, as well as just and justifiable social policies. Additionally, an attempt will be made to demonstrate the importance of understanding life course development in the context of health care and social services using a case scenario provided. Theories related to aging are constructed with the aim of objectively satisfying questions that arise after the study of aging and providing evidence-based clarifications. (1999) accept the potential pragmatism of these theories, but they argue that they can be generalized and unimaginative. Bengtson et al (1999) To try to define aging, it is necessary to take into consideration the biophysiological aspects as well as the psychosocial aspects; these two aspects are closely linked.
