Fundraising takes a lot of work, patience and passion. The guide will give the essentials, things to do and ways to organize an exciting and profitable event. Selecting the Right Fundraising Project The questions below will help you choose the right fundraising project: How much money should we earn? How much money should we invest for the project? How much the amount of money spent on advertising and publicity? How many volunteers do we need? Who is our target? Students? Businesses?Where is the money going?Step 1: Set a dateWeather conditions need to be looked at.You need to plan your event with the possibility of rain or snow. Choose another date or other indoor locations for your event. Check to see if there are any similar events happening at or near the time of your fundraiser. Consider other school activities that might affect your fundraising. For example, if it is exam week or the week before finals week, the student will not have time to participate in fundraising events. Step 2: Find a Location Check the costs and time spent setting up and cleaning the location afterwards. Prepare for emergencies such as rain. Create a newsletter for other students, faculty, administrators, parents and friends. My favorite part of the project was adding the formatting elements into the manual. I enjoyed adding all the design elements, researching different images, and choosing fonts for the project.
